Layering Summer Dress For Autumn

I got this summery dress in Zara last season and I just thought it too pretty to languish at the bottom of the wardrobe till the next summer. So I took it out and layered it with a chunky sweater and thick tights. (also a parka and a scarf, but for the purposes of picture taking I left those two out). I wore it for a shopping trip to American Apparel where I stocked up on a few basics. Afterwards I had a chestnut and mushroom soup to warm me up. It would have been a perfect little autumnal shopping trip if it wasn't for the fact that the soup had a touch of onions in it and my husband then proceeded to inform me that I smell of onions. Yeah, he's romantic like that.
I wore:
Sweater: Charlotte Ronson
Lace dress: Zara
Tights: Falke
Shoes: ASOS
Rings: Made

Feel free to marvel at my wrinkly, vampirically pale hand at the photo below which was supposed to showcase the stacking rings, but really it's just showcasing my ageing hand.

Tartan Skirt

I've been trying to get this skirt on ASOS for weeks (it kept showing as out of stock) and I finally managed it a few days ago. Tartan always reminds me of cold, autumnal days for some reason so, in my eyes, it's a perfect material for just such a day. I paired this warm, fuzzy, woolen skirt with a jeans shirt, an old pale yellow Luella bag....and bright red lipstick (I'm finally moving on from the pink lipsticks...about time too).
How do you wear tartan?
I wore:
Shirt: ASOS
Skirt: ASOS
Bag: Luella
Tights: Falke
Heels: ASOS

Lady Dragon

This is my casual saturday outfit. Very comfortable, with a touch of pizzazz provided by Vivienne Westwood's Lady Dragon heels. And before anyone asks, no, we didn't have a sudden heatwave here in London. I had a jacket over this but I didn't deem it interesting enough to photograph, I guess.
I wore:
Heels: Lady Dragon by Vivienne Westwood
Vest top: Splendid
Jeans: Zara
Cardigan: Siren
