1 Pink Coat, 5 Ways To Wear It

You may have noticed that I wear the same pieces over and over again. Frankly, I would love to swan around in different couture outfits every day, but my bank account just doesn't allow it. Besides, unless you're a Saudi princess or an international superstar, I'm guessing such rampant consumerism is out of question for most  people. I could possibly achieve gargantuan wardrobe by shopping at cheap Chinese online shops alas I don't do that as I find the garments bad quality and ill fitting. Not mentioning the fact that Chinese shops are not too big on respecting original designs either (fake Kenzo and Carven sweaters anyone?). So I get creative instead and combine garments in different ways....adding something new, something old, something wacky...you get the picture.
One of THE items for this season is a pink coat. I got mine last year at Vjera Vilicnik  and I love it so. It's warm, big, fluffy and a joy to wear.
I wore:
Coat: Vjera Vilicnik
Silk & lace dress: Vjera Vilicnik
Tights: Falke
Shoes: ASOS

Nails: Ciate "Cookies and Cream"
Lips: Nars "Schiap"
I have previously worn the coat together with slouchy pants from ASOS. Combining the pants with different tops, shoes and accessories gave a different feel to outfit.
I also wear it with dresses. Soft cotton jersey dress is more suitable for day and the lacy one complete with cat ears for going out (or for feeling wacky...after all, cat ears on top of anyone's head is bound to raise a few eyebrows.)

Sweater & Tulle

Ever since my childhood dreams of becoming a ballerina* didn't come to fruition (mostly because I grew tits. and ass.), I was determined to at least walk around swathed in tulle at any given opportunity. So what if I wasn't going to grace Bolshoi stage dressed in tulle tutu;  I can simply wear yards of sequined tulle on the streets of London without anyone batting an eyelid.
In my head, tulle goes with everything...denim, tweed, wool....everything. I combined it here with cozy woolen sweater and my new fave bag.  Still sporting bare legs too (one would think I was born in Newcastle, no?)

*I also dreamed of becoming a Hollywood actress and an international pop star. Alas I cannot act. And I most definitely cannot sing. But let's leave those confessions for another time.

I wore:
Sweater: Zara
Tulle skirt: Stella Forest
Shoes: ASOS
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Lips: Sleek "Baby Doll"
Nails: Ciate "Cookies and cream"

Birchbox And Glossybox - November

Oh hai...I haven't done a beauty box post for a while so here it is. In case you missed them. Ahem...

As usual, I got two boxes...Birchbox (which you can see above) and Glossybox (below).
I liked Birchbox that little bit more this month, but both boxes were fine, really.

My Birchbox contained the following:
1) Laura Mercier body butter (25g sample worth £3.8)- this is vanilla scented and gorgeous. Feels really indulgent and I think I will be buying more.
2) Weleda Citrus body wash (20ml sample worth £0.7)- very lemony and very refreshing. One to wake you up and invigorate you in the morning.
3) Spa Find Calmit serum (6ml sample worth £3.5) -haven't come across this brand before and I'm really loyal to my Bioeffect serum, but I'll give this a go. It's non greasy and balancing as well as anti ageing.
4) Chella highlighter pencil (full size worth £15.9)- very nice, fat, big, creamy highlighter. Both for face and the eyes. Blends easily and it's really lovely to use.
5) English Laundry eau de parfum (2ml sample worth £0.6)- Elegant and lovely.
6) Pukka teas (3 sachets worth £0.2)- this might be the cheapest in the box, but I love teas, especially teas by this brand so it was a welcome addition.
7) Birchbox pencil sharpener (full size worth £3)-nice and sturdy.
Good Birchbox this month with the products adding up to £27.7. I particularly enjoyed body cream and the highlighter.
Glossybox was slightly less impressive even though the contents came to £31 (so a bit more than the Birchbox).
I got:
1) Vichy serum (9ml sample worth £8.8)- this is light and not too greasy and promises better skin quality. I doubt that it will wean me off my Bioeffect serum but again, I will give it a go.
2) Emite eyeshadow (full size worth £16.8)- Free of all the nasty stuff and easily blendable. I like the colour I got as it's easy to wear.
3) Yves Rocher hand cream (full size worth £1.9)- not that expensive, but my God, it smells divine. My cream is cocoa and pistachio flavour and I cannot get enough of it. I keep applying it and then smelling my hands like a lunatic. It smells that good.
4) Elegant Touch nail remover pads (full size worth £2)- not something I would buy, but it's handy for travel and on the go.
5) Connock London kukui eau de parfum (1.5ml sample worth £1.1)-Smells simultaneously old fashioned and gorgeous. It's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.

Stand out products from this box for me were hand cream and the perfume.

Autumn Sunset

Here I am hanging out in the 'hood just before sunset sporting a pair of lacy cat ears atop of my bonce. The passing neighbours did have a "Poor dear, she's slightly deranged" look in their eyes. They're probably not far off...but what can I do...I love both cats and fashion. And the two loves met spectacularly in the form of this headband.
Do you remember when I threatened to buy a version of this dress in black too? Well, here it is. I bought it and I love it. I'm also sporting bare legs...as in no tights, socks, stockings or other leg covering items. In November! I'm well hard, me. :D

I'm wearing:
Cat ears: Etsy
Pink Coat: Vjera Vilicnik
Lace dress: ASOS
Ring: Dogeared
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Shoes: Zara

Nails: Models Own "Emerald City"
Lips: Sleek "Papaya Punch"

View Of St Paul's

Back in the summer I had a photoshoot with lovely Ruta from Lithuania. For a location I picked a roof terrace at One New Change overlooking St Paul's. There are great views of both the city and the cathedral from there and it's never too crowded.
Being the megalomaniac that I am (my Mama always told me I had dictatorial tendencies...hmm) I wasn't happy with just snapping pretty photos. Oh, no....I had to style the whole thing too. So I pulled some accessories and this vintage La Petite S***** dress and off we went. I quite like the result...and despite it being in a VERY London location, I also think it has a bit of an Italian, Roman feel to it. What do you think?

Relaxed

Here's me looking distinctively unrelaxed posing in the very relaxing attire (bar the heels...heels are never relaxing). I just wanted to throw a few easy, loose, comfortable pieces on, but still look relatively presentable so out came my harem pants, my peasant blouse and my fluffy, warmer than the warmth pink coat. I then shuffled off to a neighbourhood coffee bar for some coffee....and sandwiches...and cakes....mmmm cakes...
I wore:
Pink Coat: Vjera Vilicnik
Blouse: Zara
Pants: ASOS
Necklace: Onecklace
Shoes: Zara
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Ring: Dogeared

Nails: Nails INC "You're a Peach"

All Black

All Black....no, not like those New Zealand man-hunks that throw themselves around on rugby pitch performing menacing dances, but like cozy, warming late autumn attire. Mind you, looking at the photos, I'm not so sure I can pull off all black as good as someone blonde, say. The (non) colour probably looks a bit more striking on them.
I'm wearing:
Jeans: Mango
Sweater: Zara
Shoeboots: ASOS
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Ring: Dogeared
Bracelets: Made

Name Necklace, Anyone?

Ever since Carrie and co burst onto my screen in a fashionable puff  of Cosmopolitans and Manolo Blahniks all those years ago,  I've been lusting after one thing...a Carrie name necklace. Sure, I lusted after the clothes...and the shoes (especially the shoes), but the necklace was special...ever present and so HER. And so ME...because EVERY girl wanted to be Carrie.
So when a few weeks ago, Onecklace, a jewellery company from Israel gifted me with my very own Carrie necklace, I was delighted. The necklace arrived in a cute little box and it's just perfect. Great quality and so very wearable.
If you're looking for something similar, do check them out...they make name jewellery in abundance of styles and materials, price points are great and the shipping is rather quick.

Something New

I have been wanting Rebecca Minkoff bag for like...well..forever. My desire for one only grew after seeing a huge array of them on this girl's blog. So the other day I finally went and bought one. I love the classic shape...and I love quilting. It resembles a Chanel bag but without a very hefty price tag. The leather is soft and lovely and the whole bag is perfectly crafted. I can't wait to take it out and about.
I also bought Benefit's Neutral's palette. It contains 4 powder shades and 2 paint pots in very wearable colours as well as the tips and tricks guide to applying it all (and God knows I need that.).
Last but not least is Models Own nail varnish in "Emerald City"...a very glittery, shimmery emerald green. Straight outta Oz. :D
And now I'll probably have to restrain myself for a bit and curb the spending as I really really want that new camera with a very purse unfriendly price...but that's another story, eh...

November Means Trench

Oh hai! The prodigal blogger (that would be me) returns. I'm gonna blame my absence on being busy with work and planning world domination.
Anyhow, after October so warm I renamed it Hotober, November started off chilly and rainy. Perfect weather to dust off my trench and other wintery glad rags, shuffle through fallen leaves and drink endless pumpkin spice lattes.
I wore:
Trench coat: ASOS
Denim flares: Pepe Jeans
Denim shirt: ASOS
Bracelets: Made
Platform shoes: Kurt Geiger
Clutch: ASOS

Lips: MAC "Impassioned"
Nails: MeMeMe "Amorous"
