Hello, My Name Is Paul Smith

Late last year I had an amazing opportunity to both meet and photograph great British fashion designer Paul Smith for "Gloria Glam" magazine. I found Sir Paul Smith a lovely man, full of wit and charm and with plenty of time for everyone. The shoot coincided with opening of the exhibition of his work at the Design Museum here in London. If you are either living or traveling in London and haven't seen it yet, I cannot recommend it enough. It's a unique view of not only his work, but his world. The exhibition  "Hello, my name is Paul Smith" runs till 22nd June (they extended the opening dates due to high demand) at the Design Museum.

Red Shoes

New shoes....new shoooeeeeessss!!! Seriously, there's nothing better than new shoes. These bright red...(or are they orange....hmmm?) beauties are from Whistles and I love their classic shape. It helps that they are comfortable too and easy to walk in. Now if I could only have them in array of colours, my life would be complete. Ok, maybe not my life, but my wardrobe would most definitely be complete.
I wore:
Sweater: ASOS
Jeans: Mango
Clutch: Accessorize
Shoes: Whistles
Bracelets: Made
Ring: Dogeared

Nails: Nails Inc "Swiss Cottage"
Lips: Model Co "Kitty"

Entrenched

Here I am dressed up like a flamboyant Inspector Clouseau. The only things missing are the loupe, moustache and a funny hat. Perhaps I should get some and amuse you in the next post.
Other than this one outing, I spent most of the last few days in bed, dressed in a onesie (yes, I own one), drinking teas and watching moody Scandinavian crime dramas whilst nursing a mother of all colds. You don't have to say it; I know...it's my persistent refusal of wearing socks that got me in the end.

I wore:
Trench: ASOS
Skirt: ASOS
Denim shirt: ASOS
Booties: Zara
Bag: Mischa Barton
Watch: Olivia Burton
Ring: Dogeared

Stars

Even though the United Kingdom has been battered by winds and rain, the temperatures stayed surprisingly warm. Obviously, I used that as an excuse to parade my bare pins around. Who needs socks when you have a fluffy warm jumper and an even warmer and fluffier skirt.

I wore:
Jumper: Zara
Skirt: Ashish
Clutch: Accesorize
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Something New

I didn't go crazy on sales, but I did buy a few cheeky things on pre-Xmas sales.

I could not resist Mimi Holliday underwear. They have long been one of my favourite brands...so very pretty and delicate (even though there's nothing delicate about my tits. or ass, for that matter.).
The panties feel like wearing a cloud. All their stuff is made of silk so a bit tricky when it comes to washing, but worth it nonetheless.

The Victorian style boots are by Bertie and are super comfortable. I love their old fashioned classic good looks and hope to pair them not just with tailored trousers, but also with pretty frocks.

Last but not least, a watch! To be honest, I guess no one NEEDS a watch in these days of smart phones and being plugged in 24-7, but there's something quite nostalgic and reassuring about a wrist watch. My one is big dial vintage style watch by British brand Olivia Burton. They have so many lovely watches, it was hard to pick just one. I truly wanted all of them. At the end I went for a classic metallic gold one, but knowing me, I'll come back for more soon. :)

Fluffy Coat

Action woman that I am, I decided to put my new year resolutions in action straight away and booked myself a ticket to Paris. Not that I haven't been there already a million times. Travel is still travel even when it's somewhere familiar. I've also been blogging more (let's see how long it lasts) so yay for me. I am, however, writing this post whilst stuffing my face with pecan pie so I can't say I've done good on the "lose weight resolution" front. Pinky swear,  I WILL stop eating pies by spring. Until then, I will hide my lumps and bumps under this fluffy coat.
I wore:
Coat: River Island
Sweater: Zara
Pants: ASOS
Shoes: ASOS
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Pink And White

It's a cold, but beautiful and sunny day in London today so I decided against too many layers. A light sweater and a warm cashmere coat is all that is needed. I added a bit of sparkle in the shape of shoes and voila...I'm ready to step into the new year (or rather...do some grocery shopping and errands as the case may be).

I wore:
Cashmere coat: Vjera Vilicnik
Sweater: Zara
Jeans: Mango
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Happy 2014!

New year...new hopes and new dreams. Today was time for taking stock and making plans for future. In 2014, I'm hoping for a better work-life balance, a bit less kilos (I must go easy on the cakes), better finances, more photos to be taken, better organization, less procrastination, more travel, more time for cooking (nor sure if that is compatible with less kilos...hmmm...) and to stay loved, happy and healthy.
In terms of blogging...I'm hoping to find time to post a bit more and create more lifestyle content. Some things will be going (beauty boxes reviews....lots of views on those posts, but all beauty bloggers are doing those reviews, so I might as well leave them out and use that time to create different content), some new things will be coming (streetstyle) and some things will be staying the same (outfit posts).
I hope you will keep following and reading my blog. I wish you all a very, very awesome 2014!.
